What we collect

  • Forms you submit: Contact, Nominate, and other site forms collect the fields you choose to send.
  • Self-hosted analytics: We measure visits to understand what is working. We record page URLs, referrers, basic device data, and an IP address that may be truncated. We use this in aggregate. No cross-site tracking. No third-party analytics.
  • Server logs: Our host keeps standard logs for security and reliability. Logs include IP address, user agent, and the pages requested.
  • Video embeds: Some stories play on YouTube. If you press play, YouTube may set its own cookies and collect usage data under its policies.

How we use the information

  • To reply to messages and review nominations.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site using aggregate analytics and server logs.

Where your information goes

  • Email: Form submissions are delivered to our inbox. We do not keep a database of entries on the site.
  • Infrastructure: Our host processes network traffic and stores logs to keep the site running.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share information only as needed to run the site and deliver email.

Retention

  • Emails you send are kept as long as needed for editorial review and record keeping.
  • Analytics data is kept in aggregate form.

Your choices

  • You can ask us to show or delete messages you have sent. Email contact@forgedfounders.com with details so we can find them.
  • If you were nominated and do not want to be contacted, tell us and we will stop.
  • If you prefer not to be measured, you can use built-in browser features like content blocking. Contact us if you want your visits excluded from analytics going forward.

Children

This site is for a general audience and not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page. The date at the top will change.
